I don’t have time for this …

So, you've done the work. You get that positive thinking is important and that living in the moment is all there really is, but now what?

You still don't have this ‘perfect' life every book is promising to deliver. You still have to go to the job you don't really enjoy and this consumes so much of your time that there really is no time for anything else. As a result you kinda get bogged down by routine and the lack of challenges or excitement in your life, that you know exactly how you don't want to feel because guess what … you are feeling this every day.


Sound familiar? Struggling to see things differently? Wish things would change?

Ka-ching!!! Knowing exactly how you don't want to feel is priceless. You know why? Because now you know that you want to feel the EXACT opposite.

Feeling bored? You want excitement …

Feeling sad? You want happiness …

Feeling misunderstood? You want understanding and support …

Now, stop where you are, grab a pen and paper and write exactly how you don't want to feel. Then, next to each unpleasant emotion write the exact opposite positive emotion.


You now have a full and honest list of what you are looking for in your life and what is lacking. This may seem obvious but sometimes putting your finger on what is missing from your life can be the biggest challenge and getting this on paper, well, that can be even more daunting.

Now you know what is lacking from your life it is time to step up and take responsibility for it. I don't want to hear that you don't have time to pursue the things that make you ‘beam from ear to ear' because I know you have time to watch TV, to go for a drink with your mates, to chat on the phone and to have a lie in.


So now is YOUR time. Make a commitment to prioritize the things that make your heart sing and in no time at all a whole new life full of promise and beauty will unfold. Question is, are you going to show up?
